Part 3 - Kennedy Space Center

The Kennedy Space Center was a little over an hours drive from the Montes' house. They were kind enough to let us use there car while we were there in Florida. By the way the weather was just perfect. No humidity and warm sunny days. Finally a family shot with an astronaut. This is a model of the space shuttle hooked up to the space station that needed fixing. One of the first things we did when we arrived was see a 3D movie on space and how they fix the space station. It was really interesting and educating. This is a Nebula (a cluster of material that is forming into a star)Brody captivated watching a video on the shuttles over the years and how they have changed. I love the hands on the hips.Play time on the Junior Astronauts play structure.A real shuttle and it's rockets on the side. You can see the size in relation to the very small people in the lower right corner of the picture. Amazing technology. This is all so overwhelming. The kids taking a break.Jon had the kids try on a kids astronaut suit in the gift shop. They wanted to buy it badly. Rylee the astronaut...you never know.Maybe someday it'll be Brody the astronaut. He was so proud with his arms in th folded position.Holding hands with a NASA robot. At the gift shop the kids were allowed to pick out anything they wanted and Rylee picked out this glow in the dark braclet.Brody picked out an astronaut.World's youngest astronaut - Taylee. Funny she looks crazy in the picture.BrodyJonIt was so fun they had these machines that you can take a picture of yourself and place it in an astronaut picture and email it..
