Mormon Helping Hands is where the whole state does a service project in their community. Today we spent the morning at the CSD park working. Well, I did the babysitting at the playground while Jon and Brody worked hard to spread bark, sand, and other grounds keeping services along with many other people. It was great to see so many people come together to serve the community.
Today we are all off to the CSD park!! Rylee, Brody, Taylee, Britlee, Mabel and Braeden. So fun!
Today Rylee had a little mini meet at gymnastics today. They had been practicing a specific routine for the past couple of weeks. It was great to be out on the floor again and watch my little one do it. It brought tears to my eyes to watch her and reflect on my time in the gym. I loved and hated this sport. If nothing else I just hope that Rylee enjoys whatever it is she is doing. She has been working so hard and I'm so proud of her. I just love that she smiled the whole time! Brody, Taylee and Britlee loved being spectators!
Mat, Aimee, Sammy, Renee, Johnny, Jon and Brian all ran the Folsom Mud Run. It was a perfect day because it was HOT. I love the community showering afterwards picture. It looks like an Orbitz Gum commercial "Dirty mouth? Clean it up with Orbitz!" They all did great and Jon had such a great time! Thanks for organizing it Aimee!
As Beavis and Butthead would say, "Fire, fire, hah-hah-hah, fire, fire". Same goes for fire fighters. They live for these big blazes. Jon texted us this picture while on the call.
Baby Britlee was such a peanut at birth, but look at that chub now! She's growing up so fast! We love you Baby Brits!!
Tonight Jon had a date night with Rylee and Brody at the Sacramento Kings basketball game. They were in the nose bleeds, but they had a great time!!
Today Rylee lost her first official tooth, though she had her first tooth pulled when she was just one day old. This one she lost on her own. She was rolling in her towel on the trampoline and held it in her teeth. POP! Out it came! She was so proud because she has been waiting for a long time for these teeth to loosen because the adult tooth had already come in. I love the bloody pictures!
For the past couple weeks Rylee's kindergarten class has been practicing songs and a square dancing routine in groups. This was a performance and luncheon for their families. We all went to cheer her on! Rylee did such a great job! Afterwards, it was back to our house for swimming because it was HOT!
Apparently this is an annual thing and we were invited!! My kids were thrilled to attend another easter egg hunt! The Wilkin's hosted a luncheon and hunt at their house. They even hid money inside some of the eggs. One girl walked away with $40 in her pocket! (The money was hid in the golden eggs.) Now we know so we will be searching for those eggs next year. Thanks for the invite we had a blast!
Crew at Station 53 where Jon has been for the past year. He has enjoyed the business of the calls, sleepless nights, tough workouts (especially butts up) and the great crew.
The Easter Bunny came!! Today we spent the morning going through the baskets, dying eggs and talking about the resurrection. I am so grateful for the atonement and sacrifice Jesus made for every single person who walked the face of this earth. I love knowing that I can make the things I did wrong; right. Though at times I feel very undeserving of forgiveness, I am grateful for everyone's forgiveness especially from my loving husband and children, our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ. Happy Easter to all!
Every year we have attended the Easter breakfast at station 25. They have pancakes with any kind of fixing on top you can think of, sausages and fruit. For entertainment they have a bounce house, face painting and a HUGE easter egg hunt. It is so great because they break it up into 2 hunts for the over 3 year old group and the under 3 year old group. The fire fighters put on such a great event every year and my kids count on it every year to get tons of candy. Sadly Jon had to work. I don't think he has come to one yet. Maybe next year! After I sent it via phone the first to pictures at work, he sent this one back of himself! What a character!
Poor Taylee. She was carrying a jar of apple sauce to me to open it and she slipped and fell on the jar. Her mouth hit the jar lid that was ribbed and cut up her lips. The blood was everywhere! It was awesome.

Today Auntie Renee & Lilly, Auntie Aimee & her girls, Auntie Jessica & her boys and my clan with Oma went to Pier 39 in San Francisco for a little seal watching, carousel riding, a magic show and the candy barrel! We had a great time seeing everyone! We love you Oma!
