So sweet!

Sometimes I forget to blog specifically something about Brody. Rylee seems to so easily steal the spot light. Brody, I want you to know that you are right there with us every step of the way. You go everywhere with us. We are so proud of all the leaps and bounds you have made over these past 7.5 months! Thanks for being so smiley and easy going. When things seem to get overwhelming we just look at you and you give us the smile of "everything will be ok". Thanks for being you. We love you so much!

Almost a sleep over...

Sarah had me watch her two kids Ava and Aiden while she took a long time friend to dinner. These kids had a great time! We played out in the front for a while and then moved inside. We camped out on our family room floor with popcorn and the movie "Cars"! Then the lights went down and I turned on some sweet lullablies to lull them to sleep. As you can see it worked. Sweet babies sleeping.Yes, that is Rylee's hand on Aiden's bottom.

Jon's New Toy

Thanks to Costco. Boy do they just suck you in. You really go there with the intent for buying food but, since that's in the back you have to see all the fun stuff first...like long boards. This has been Jon's best friend lately. One day on a whim, Jon asked me to tow him up a steep hill in our neighborhood. I willingly jumped into the drivers seat with Brody on my lap and proceeded to tow Jon around and up the hill. Jon did great!!! No spills, but maybe next time you could wear a helmet, and I guess we could stick Brody in his car seat. I admit, I have had my fun on it too!! I guess we are kids at heart!Rylee loves it too!

Sac Metro Fire Association BBQ

This BBQ is always on A-shift so Jon's crew all decided to take the day off and attend. It was a lot of fun to be out with enjoyable people. Thanks for the laughs Jeff. This is my favorite face of Jon's, because it fully reflects how he is feeling inside.Rylee is dancing......to the Sac Metro BAND! That's right a couple firefighters formed a band. They are actually really good.Brody is right there in the mix just loving to watch Rylee run. I can tell he is really anxious to walk and run. He wants to go, go, go!Rylee made new friends with Paige and Hunter, Happiness and John's children. They were on fire from the hot bounce house! Congrats on the new baby and thanks for the chat Happiness!

The Hair Cut

One day after getting my hair cut I decided it was time, time for Rylee to have her FIRST hair cut ever!We went home and I gave her a plate of snacks in front of the mirror and I proceeded to cut and cut and cut her hair. I'm pretty proud of myself and so is she.She likes to stand in front of the mirror and boof the sides of her hair and twirl her outfits, especially on Sundays because she is always in a dress!

Park Days

I'm so grateful that I have a husband who is brave enough to take the kids out of the house all by himself while I'm at work. Here they are at the CSD EDH Park. Jon you did a great job on Rylee's hair...at least she can see! Love this picture and LOVE those baby blues...for now. We'll see if they change.

Go Rivercats..again!!

This time it was just the 4 of us. Like I have said in the past, this is very relaxing. You can pay attention to the game when you want and enjoy lounging in the grass just starring up at the moon.

Growing up way too fast.

The Rivercats did win, again.

Hannah's Visit

Melissa this is for you! I love Hannah's extremely THICK hair. These two had a great time together. Thanks for letting her come over and visit. I got a chance to listen to a tiny conversation while standing outside Rylee's door. My favorite Hannah quote: "I'm going to put make-up on you, but don't tell your mom." She then proceeds to use markers on Rylee's eyes and cheeks..."pretty" she said. I'd love to have her again anytime!!!

San Francisco

It was a wonderful rare occasion, but Jon and I both had the day off and decided to head to San Francisco, more specifically Pier 39. I guess it's our staple, considering that we rarely ever visited there even when we lived in the Bay Area. It's always an adventure navigating through the city, thank goodness my nose was glued to the map. Look out for those "one-way" streets!Since Jon's a big fan of clam chowder, we first had to stop off and get a bread bowl full for him, but I ventured over to the Crepe Shop for a crepe sandwich (turkey and pesto), quite tasty! Here is our sweet little angel patiently awaiting the carousel ride with tokens in hand.Did I mention that she LOVED LOVED LOVED it!!! Here we are waving to Jon and Brody! After looking across the bay to Alcatraz, we visited the sea lions. They sure are a loud lazy looking bunch! Rylee could watch them for hours. My favorite smile of hers. These are the ones that make this earth life worth the trials that come our way.
They are so easy going, not to mention happy. We decided to walk down towards Ghirardelli Square to feel the sand beneath our toes. Look at what Jon found along the way! We couldn't pass by an old school vintage motorcycle and not take a picture of it.This weather was a wonderful break from the 100 degree weather in Sacramento. We forget how spoiled we were living in the Bay Area. The Bay water was freezing, of course, but refreshing.Loving every moment. We finished off the day with a beautiful sunset over the ocean. Once again, nothing short of a fabulous day. I love you 3 with all my heart.

Potty Training

Did I mention that potty training can be so darn messy. I started Labor Day because Jon was at work and he specifically said he didn't want to be around for the messes that were going to happen. Let's just say it has been an adventure...a messy adventure. She is getting better and better each and every day. If any of you out there decide on potty training your children just keep this in mind, "are YOU (the parent) ready for potty training?". Kids can do it...but can you handle what's in store for you? Rylee is doing great and pretty much getting the hang of it. GREAT JOB RYLEE!!! We are so proud of you!
