Home Improvement Helper

Thanks to Nick's help, Jon and he were able to start and finish the new flooring. Say "good-bye" to carpet and "hello" to laminate. It looks beautiful and they did a spactacular job! Rylee also loves to help Jon with whatever projects he has up his sleeve. This one happens to be the new base boards. She hates the loud saw, so she wears Jon's ear muffs that he uses for mowing the lawn to dampen the sound. And what out fit isn't complete without his sunglasses. This is truely a Jon moment. The face of over exaggerated pain. Drama queen? It just so happened that Jon hit his funny bone right after taking the previous picture.Poor baby.

My Favorite Messy Faces

I make homemade freezer jam, which is by far better than any store bought stuff I've ever tasted. Plus, it's easy, a definite "no brainer". Obviously they love it, because they have the cutest messy faces to prove it. I love these two.
When I see these pictures it reminds me to slow down and remember these times, because soon they will pass and I'll only be left with these pictures. Thank you for sending me the two most wonderful children I have ever met.

Firefighter's Rudnicki

Grandma Kathy has an addiction...buying for the grandkids. Hey, it could be worse. She found this peddle fire engine on the way back from Christie's wedding, and she just couldn't resist...hey, who could blame her, it's so darn cute.It is the funniest thing to watch them on because they look like a video from the old black and white show, "The Little Rascals". They love this fire engine and always have to be wearing the helmets and making the siren sound.

Proud parents. The girls. The boys. One of everyone's all time favorites was watching everyone wrestle!! The new Crossfit WOD...hey, it does say "constantly varied" right?

Lake Tahoe with Family

After the wedding, we drove back through Lake Tahoe to visit the beach. Since it's something both families rarely do, it turned out to be a lot of fun! Here are all the little ones: Asa, Ethan, Rylee, Brody and Adam.I don't think Pasha ever made it out of that freezing water! What a brave soul!April and Rylee fell in love with one another. April loves to be motherly and Rylee loves to be doted on, it was a perfect match.Oh yes, and if any of you know Jon, he HATES cold water. David and I attempted to throw Jon in many times but failed miserably. I guess it was Jon getting back at David for losing in the water wrestling match they had back in Genoa.Love the smerk.

Fire Camp

Our nephew Blake was visiting us this past week because he attended Sac Metro's Fire Camp for kids. Jon was able to be Blake's group counselor along with Jeremy Crawford. The last day of fire camp they had a BBQ for the families and the kids showed off the skills they learned throughout the week. There was a helicopter demonstration: it circled multiple times, dropped water and lowered a fireman down to the ground from the hoovering helicopter. That was Brody's favorite part. The kids also had 3 competitions.

1.Bucket Brigade2. Water Hockey3. Connect the Hose relay (not pictured)

Rylee was able to cheer the kids on from close up on Jon's shoulders. She was so excited because the kids voted to let her have their group flag they had made. They called themselves the "Super Duper Hecka Tight Armadillos" Here is Rylee and Brody paying close attention to the awards ceremony.Great job Blake! It was a fun visit!

Princess Storytime at the Library

Rylee was so excited to meet the DISNEY PRINCESSES!We treked up to the main library in Placerville for some princess storytime. The library was packed full of little girls dressed up in all kinds of princess gowns. There was hardly enough room to sit down and watch. She was so excited to exit our house in a princess costume (I tell her it is for dress-up only in the house). The librarians put on a puppet show and told an interactive story for all the visiting princesses to help out with. Afterwards they decorated crowns. Rylee colored her crown yellow, because she is really into Belle right now. We also helped Brody make a prince crown, which he was so proud to wear. Finally Rylee was able to meet and take pictures with the princesses. She talked all about meeting them, but when it came her turn, she was too shy to make a sound.(Cinderella and Snow White)(Jasmine and Belle)

Gymnastics again...

Rylee had missed a class and had the privialge of making it up. The great thing about making up the class is that she got to experience a new teacher and new tricks. She is such a great listener and always wants to please, which makes her great at everything she does.

I love...

this face of pure enjoyment...this bottom...her hops...and these loveable boys.Brody is just dying to get out there with her. He always goes up to the gate and aggressively jiggles it back and forth thinking it will someday open so he can join her. All in due time, Brody, all in due time!
