Camping on the Coast - "Little" style

Gualala is located right off of Highway 1 here in California just shy of Fort Bragg. What can I say about Gualala besides it being the best camping ever. Let me start off by telling about the campsites themselves. They are all equipped with running water and ELECTRICITY. That's right electricity. Not pictured is the full size kitchen the Bodily's always bring up, which inclues:
- a full size refrigerator
- dual basin full size kitchen sink with faucet
- water heater attached to the kitchen faucet
- full range stove

I don't know if you can call this camping, but I sure liked it.Some of the fun things to do is go for a bike ride. Brody is attempting to ride Rylee's bike and he's doing GREAT.Rylee attempted to ride a big kids bike with peddles and training wheels, "A Whole New World".Ok, how many kids can I tote around on my bike...3? Rylee and Chantilly in the trailer with Brody on my back.Hanging out around the campfire. Here is the queen of the weekend, who makes it all happen for our family...Mother Dearest. We always go over Memorial weekend and it always happens to be someone's birthday. Usually it's my younger brother Tom, but he is still on his mission in Uruguay and will be home June 26th 2009. A birthday is never complete without the pinata.CANDY!!!Rylee found a new BFF for the Gualala weekend - Brookie, who was so nice and inviting to her.I would like to give a special thanks to Ikea for the pink potty that we purchased for $4.99 so we can have pit stops for Rylee. We were cracking up that she was pretending to drive while having a bowel movement. Classic. Some of the fun things the boys did was go shooting, float down the freezing river and play horseshoes. Also while we were there we got to watch Bro. Pinrod's son get baptized in the river. It was touching having the primary kids sing, "I'm Trying to be Like Jesus". And then to watch him and his Dad enter the river just as Jesus and John the Baptist had done so many years ago. The scenery just added to the awe of the baptism. What a special event to have witnessed. Also, a special thanks to Mom, we had a GREAT time and look forward to next year!

More Gymnastics

Rylee knows Tuesdays are gymnastics and she just loves it! I just wanted to highlight how great of a listener she is.
Love this face.At the end of a trick the teacher has taught the class to jump up with their arms above there head and say "Ta-Da!". It's too cute.Brody just goes crazy everytime we go because he so badly wants to be out there with her.

Who's the baby?

So there is a rule in our house about the doll stroller: "Only the dolls go in the doll stroller". Simple that even a 1 year old and 3 year old can follow. Let them alone with Dad for a few seconds and all rules just exit the window as fast as they were put into place. Look at those sweet little innocent faces...or is it a devious smerk?Brody's face says it all "Oh NO! Mom's coming! Get me out!".Who's the baby you ask?...the 30.5 year old - Jon.

Rivercat Fun

Another warm evening has drawn us to the baseball games. Rylee and Brody are sporting their new presents from Jon, Sac Metro shirts. Rylee insisted they both wear them.We were also joined by Julie and Mauricio; it was great catching up.I don't know what it is about Mauricio's hat, but the kids just wouldn't give it up.Appearently Brody learned how to say "cheese"!He was cracking all of us up!

Crossfit - #41?

Jon neglected to mention just how strong and great he did at the Crossfit Norcal Regional Qualifiers. I am so proud of him and all his hard work. Hopefully next year we both will be better prepared with more time under our belts. I love you Jon! You did GREAT...and I concur "NO LESS THAN BLESSED"!I have to document what we actually did so that when we are ancient we can look back on this with awe. In our region there were 52 women and 148 men who competed. There are no classes, just women vs. women and men vs. men. Here were Day 1's WOD. (WOD="Work Out Of The Day")

Crossfit Norcal Qualifier

Hello family and friends! This past weekend Kim and I participated in the Crossfit Norcal Qualifier. "CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide." We attempted to be one of the top five qualifiers to make it to the International Crossfit Games. Unfortunately we didn't qualify, but we had a great time trying! I decided to write this post (Kim doesn't know I'm writing it) to let Kim know how amazed and proud I am of her! After just a couple months of training, and learning how to perform Olympic lifting and some specific exercises the week before, she EARNED 6Th place. She competed against elite athletes who have been doing these movements for years. This achievement is just one example of how amazing she is! More importantly, she is the most selfless, giving, kind, loving, charitable, and considerate person I know. She is an amazing mother and wife! Rylee, Brody and I are blessed to have her in our lives! We are...."NO LESS THAN BLESSED!" I love you Kimberly!
