Since the 4th of July was on a Sunday this year. The city had all the festivities happening on Saturday the 3rd. Bummer, because Jon actually had the official holiday off this year and was working the 2nd and 3rd. Rylee wanted her "CTR" ring to be in the picture (check out her left hand by her face) because she is so proud of it. It stands for "Choose The Right". We always talk about that ring and how it helps remind us to be kind and nice and to make good choices. She told me the other night that she will always wear this ring and that I can look at it to help me remember to be nice, since I don't have one. What a sweet heart, looking out for her mom.So the kids and I decorated their bikes and started off the day with a parade. Here is the starting line. Lots of kids in this neighborhood decorate their bikes for the parade. Brody couldn't help but focus on the motorcycle that was decorated for the parade. And of course, he complained that it was too loud.Afterwards a pancake breakfast was provided complete with fun things to do for the kids. I'm glad I got a chance to contribute this year. Fun things for the kids to do included a bounce house and a blow up water slide,...and coloring. The kids also made it over to the playground to finish up the morning. What a fun morning! We had a great time! Now she's a smiley girl! After that fun filled morning we decided to don our bathing suits and take a dip, because it was hot!!Love the googles, thanks Jon now the kids can see and they won't have red irritated eyes. That evening the EHD Towne Center had a jubilee with bounce houses, vendors, bands playing and face painting! These two cats are so cute: Tiger and Kitty.
