Father/Son Campout

Jon decided to take Brody on the father/son campout this year at Camp Nauvoo in Placerville owned by the church. What a great relationship building experience they had. Brody watched "Cars" on the way up there and was captivated the whole time as you can see. Here are some pictures of the camp ground. They swung on the swings, roasted marshmellows and threw around the football. Here's our backpacking tent we registered for our wedding!! Second time it's been put to good use!Brody was by far the youngest but that didn't stop him from having a good time. What a ham!!!Jon said he loved sleeping in the tent and slept well. Twins! They are the cutest!!As for Jon, he slept poorly because it was freezing and he kept on waking up to see if Brody was cold, which he wasn't.The men in charge provided dessert that evening and breakfast the next morning. Then everyone headed back for the "Mormon Helping Hands" California wide project. I'm so glad you guys went!!! Rylee missed Brody so much that she wanted to sleep in his bed. We loved and missed you boys!

SWING!

Brody wanted someone to push him so bad in the swing, but Jon and I were busy. So Rylee took it upon herself to push him...and he loved it. He fell asleep in no time. Can you say tired?

Last Ski of the Season

This was our last time at Sierra. Rylee did a great job and even did a couple of runs with minimal help from Jon. No more strangling with the ski poles! Brody always wants to be out there so this time we put Rylee's skis on Brody and Jon held him most of the time down the hill. He LOVED it and wanted to go again! Jon said that all he was asking about was to go fast. Great job Brody, until next year!

Girl's Just Wanna Have Fun

The four of us girls organized a surprise overnighter for Mom. I told Mom that she needed to watch my kids while Jon and I had a get away weekend. The plot was set. She had no idea. At first plans got a little screwed up because she cancelled herself from work, which she never does, to watch the kids. So I made her sit around all day with Renee while everyone else was getting there and putting the finishing touches on everything. We decided to take her to Papillons for dinner. This is Jessica's favorite place to go. It is a very fancy french restaurant. We were there for almost 4 hours just talking and laughing. It was so much fun! Then we went back to Jessica's house for dessert and a girl's quiz. It was fun getting to know Mom as a young lady and reminiscing about the past. Great dessert Jess! We all slept over at Jessica's house and then woke up to a wonderful egg, bacon (as always) and cinnamon roll breakfast. YUM! After getting ready we went out to get our nails done.

Some toes...
ReneeKimJessica...some fingers! So beautious!AimeeThen we hit up the theater for the "Last Song". Mom had just finished reading the book and wanted to compare it to the movie. I really liked it and shed a lot of tears.Afterwards, Mom took us to El Patio with the boys for some dinner! Thanks to all the girls! I love you all lots and we definitely need to do this again...with Brittany!Aimee and Renee were laughing so hard, this was hilarious!"Best thing about SISTERS is that I always have a FRIEND"

Easter Egg Hunt

Jon's fire department put on a fabulous pancake breakfast and easter egg hunt for all the kids. The pancakes were very good and had toppings from strawberries and blueberries to syrup and even chocolate chips...(we haven't had flour pancakes in a long time, so this seemed like a treat to me...not breakfast). There was even a bounce house there for all the kids to jump around and kill each other on."Engine"!The Easter Bunny even made an appearance being delivered in the fire engine, which all the kids loved, especially Brody...ok he really only liked the fire engine.Ready, set, GO!!!!They did great getting lots of candy for Jon and I to devour.Great job Brody! They both had a great time!

Crossfit - NorCal Sectionals (Day 2)

After that ice bath Jon was ready...ready for anything. Crossfit trains you for the unknown and unknowable so the officiators kept WOD #3 a secret. The competitors were given the workout the day of. To me that would be nerve racking but for Jon he was calm as a "Summer's Morn". I think the ice just went to his head.
WOD #3
6 minutes to achieve 1 Rep Max Clean & Jerk then immediately start the chipper:
- 25 Burpees
- 100 yard Walking Lunges

Oh ya, MY husband!Great job Jon! Rylee cried for you during your WOD because she wanted to be with you. Sweet thing.Thank you to everyone who came out to support Jon. It meant a lot to him!!!He worked so hard and did great! Jon missed making it to Regionals by 5 spots. That is surely an accomplishment because they only took the top 20 men out of over 300. SO PROUD OF YOU LOVER!

Crossfit - NorCal Sectionals (Day 1)

This was by far the largest sectionals in all the world. There were over 300 men that Jon was up against. Could be because Crossfit originated here in Cali. Sectionals was held at Mitty High School in San Jose. Jon did such a great job!!! Again, a true athlete. Here on day one, two WOD's were to be performed.

WOD #1
6 Min Max Time
- 800m Run
- Max Over Head Squats (115#)

Jon's Total - 51 Reps (Awesome!!)

- 12 Kettle Bell Swings (55#)
- 7 Chest to Bar Pull Ups

Jon's Total Rounds - 5

THRUST!PUSH!PULL!Take a breather you did a GREAT JOB!!!It was so tough to watch these WOD's. We were all hurting in the stands just watching all these competitors. Our sectionals is by far the hardest to compete in and Jon made it to Day #2!!!! CONGRATS! He actually wanted an ice bath in preparation for the next day. If you know Jon, you know he hates cold water. There are actual ice cubes in the bath tub. I'm so proud of you for taking the plunge..

Rylee's Birth Date!

So the only thing Rylee wanted for her birthday is to have breakfast in bed...our bed. So Jon and I got up and made her almond pancakes with fruit. Then I proceeded to get her ready for church and she was still hungry and wanted to eat in bed again.
This time it was bananas, bacon and eggs. "Everything's better with bacon".Brody had to eat breakfast in bed as well because he has to do everything she does. Handsome little guy.Rylee had taken some of her left over cupcakes to her sunbeam class and they loved them! After church we had dinner and then it was time to light the candles again and cut the Tiana cake. We all had a piece and then threw the rest of it away. It's the Rudnicki way.
