Gualala 2010

Gualala was so much fun this year!! This was our RIDE, a 36' RV! Since Taylee was born 2.5 weeks ago, we decided to make the trip easy and the stay easy. It felt like staying in a hotel while being able to enjoy a campfire and all the dirt. Thanks Jon!The handsome engineer.Inside the RV preparing something to eat!! It sure was a rocky ride. This is on windy highway 1. Luckily no one got sick. The ocean views were beautiful and the air was crisp and cold. The kids love being so helpful with Taylee. It's sweet to watch them all together. Our set up at Gualala. Thank goodness for electricity, running water, flushy toilets, and a shower. Gotta love Gualala! So I put the kids to bed one night and Jon just wanted to wake them up and wrestle..."whatever". So he did and then took pictures of them and put on a video. Does this sound like going to bed to you? Finally sleep.Sweet girls in the morning.Breakfast by the campfire.Speaking of food, that's my favorite part. The crew we go with bring a full size refrigerator, microwave, oven, and a kitchen sink with hot water. I like this kind of camping. The meals consisted of:
Breakfast: Pancakes, Bacon and Eggs, Egg and Ham muffins, and crepes.
Dinner: Cafe RIo Pork, Chile Verde, Fried Chicken, Fried Abalone, Turkey and all the thanksgiving fixings. We love camping. At Gualala there is a playground for the kids including swings, a slide, ping-pong tables, bocce ball and horse shoes. This year it was a bit muddy but luckily the sun came out and we were able to enjoy time by the......river in the water.Dan and Jon had a wrestling match which did not make Max or Brody very happy. They both started crying and Brody said, "Not nice, not nice".We had such a great time that we didn't want it to end. Thanks Oma for all your food prep, it was fabulous as usual!!I asked Rylee and Brody what their favorite part of the trip was and Rylee responded with "cereal" and Brody said "the park". Jon and I laughed that the thing she loved the most was the cereal. As you all paleo people know cereal is not ok.
