Today the El Dorado Hills Fire Department, the Village Life newspaper and the Dispatcher from the call came to pay tribute to the baby and the father of the birth heard across the world...well, at least throughout El Dorado Hills. Jon was interviewed by the newspaper and I finally got to meet the helpers in the whole endeavor. Each fire fighter and the dispatcher got to hold Britlee. It was great chatting with the people from the call. This department has such wonderful costumer service. They hold a special place in our hearts for more than just this reason. We were truly blessed that day that the ambulance had simultaneously delivered supplies to the exact station that I needed them to be at for a smooth...well, bumpy delivery. Heavenly Father knows what we need when we need it. The cute itty bitty hat was knit by the dispatcher of the call. She was a wonderful calming voice to Jon's hysteria. Actually Jon was cool as a clam...one the 911 call to the dispatcher and once we got in the back of the ambulance. Before that, not so much.
