Crossfit - NorCal Sectionals (Day 2)

After that ice bath Jon was ready...ready for anything. Crossfit trains you for the unknown and unknowable so the officiators kept WOD #3 a secret. The competitors were given the workout the day of. To me that would be nerve racking but for Jon he was calm as a "Summer's Morn". I think the ice just went to his head.
WOD #3
6 minutes to achieve 1 Rep Max Clean & Jerk then immediately start the chipper:
- 25 Burpees
- 100 yard Walking Lunges

5 Rounds of:
- 15 Shoulder to Overhead (40#)
- 100 yard Farmer's Walk (40#)

- 25 Burpees

Oh ya, MY husband!Great job Jon! Rylee cried for you during your WOD because she wanted to be with you. Sweet thing.Thank you to everyone who came out to support Jon. It meant a lot to him!!!He worked so hard and did great! Jon missed making it to Regionals by 5 spots. That is surely an accomplishment because they only took the top 20 men out of over 300. SO PROUD OF YOU LOVER!

Crossfit - NorCal Sectionals (Day 1)

This was by far the largest sectionals in all the world. There were over 300 men that Jon was up against. Could be because Crossfit originated here in Cali. Sectionals was held at Mitty High School in San Jose. Jon did such a great job!!! Again, a true athlete. Here on day one, two WOD's were to be performed.

WOD #1
6 Min Max Time
- 800m Run
- Max Over Head Squats (115#)

Jon's Total - 51 Reps (Awesome!!)

RUN!LIFT!
"The Scott" and Jon after WOD #1...pooped. Great job to both of you.

WOD #2
10 min AMRAP (as many rounds as possible)
- 7 Thrusters (115#)
- 12 Kettle Bell Swings (55#)
- 7 Chest to Bar Pull Ups

Jon's Total Rounds - 5

THRUST!PUSH!PULL!Take a breather you did a GREAT JOB!!!It was so tough to watch these WOD's. We were all hurting in the stands just watching all these competitors. Our sectionals is by far the hardest to compete in and Jon made it to Day #2!!!! CONGRATS! He actually wanted an ice bath in preparation for the next day. If you know Jon, you know he hates cold water. There are actual ice cubes in the bath tub. I'm so proud of you for taking the plunge..

Rylee's Birth Date!

So the only thing Rylee wanted for her birthday is to have breakfast in bed...our bed. So Jon and I got up and made her almond pancakes with fruit. Then I proceeded to get her ready for church and she was still hungry and wanted to eat in bed again.
This time it was bananas, bacon and eggs. "Everything's better with bacon".Brody had to eat breakfast in bed as well because he has to do everything she does. Handsome little guy.Rylee had taken some of her left over cupcakes to her sunbeam class and they loved them! After church we had dinner and then it was time to light the candles again and cut the Tiana cake. We all had a piece and then threw the rest of it away. It's the Rudnicki way.

Rylee's 4th Birthday Party

Welcome to the Princess Tiana birthday party!Rylee had been asking for this kind of a party ever since she saw the movie in the theater. Yes, it was her first theater experience and loved it. The movie was not very good, to say the least...but the princess sure was beautiful. This was my first attempt at making the Princess Tiana birthday cake. It was 3 layers high: (2) 8" rounds with a bundt cake on top and 5 cartons of frosting. Yes this thing weighed a ton! Thanks for your help Jessica! Nice photo shoot Jon.75 Froggie quiche sized chocolate cupcakes, thanks for the help Oma and Britt! They turned out fabulous and the kids ate them, cake and all!All the princesses from left to right: Eliza, Emily, Avery, Leah, Rylee, Rebekah, Hannah, Melody, Addie, Annie and Rylee...boys Brody, Max and Abel not pictured.Since not everyone has seen the movie we had a felt board story of the Princess and the Frog. They were so attentive. Then they decorated their bean bag frogs. Thanks for all your help Oma, Brittany and Jon. The kids did great and loved their creations! Then it was cupcake time...everyone wanted more!...then again, what kid wouldn't want another cupcake if there was 75 of them. Then playtime in our play yard. Love it Jon, rings and climbing. Then it was time for the pinata. Brody and Rylee were the champs! They sure are athletes just like their parents. It was a great day! Thanks for coming everyone!

Jon Babysitting

Today I went through the temple and had the pleasure of my wonderful family to accompany me. Jon was the babysitter for Maddox, Chantilly, Rylee, Brody and Max. He did such a great job! No tears! Jon had Maddox in the front pack and Rylee was inspired to make her own front pack for her baby.Very creative! Just like a mother...great multi-tasking.
