We decided to surprise our children for a trip to Disneyland. I had packed everything up and they still didn't know where they were going. Once everyone was in the car Jon said a prayer as usual before we go on any trip. He said the usual blessing the car etc. then he said, "Please help us to have a good time at Disneyland" and closed his prayer. We both peeked to see their reaction when Jon said it and Brody heard it and perked right up and opened his eyes! Rylee said, "What?! What just happened!?" Brody screamed, "Disneyland!" Then everyone else screamed and I handed them there maps so they can keep track of our progress to our destination instead of asking every 5 minutes if we are there yet. We had a great time, thanks to Renee and Sam! Renee was so awesome with watching the kids so Jon and I got to ride a ride alone and take the older kids on the ones that the little ones couldn't. We loved it! Thank you guys so much and we love you! I will let the pictures do the talking.

Proscenium Performance
The theme was major holiday's throughout the year. Rylee did the 4th of July and Halloween. She looked great and did a great job as always, but this is the last time she will be doing this. On to new things! Afterwards we went back to my house to reenact the nativity again with the cousins! Funny!! Then we went to see the Creche display in Elk Grove, my new Christmas tradition as well. Then back to Aimee's house for just hanging out. I needed to include the picture of Britlee doing her AMAZING a-frames. She does these all the time and wanted to make sure I got it documented! She's silly!

FHE: Live Nativity
Of course we had to do the live nativity! The tradition begins! This was such a sweet tender little reenactment that also made us all laugh. Rylee was Mary, Brody was Joseph, Taylee was the Angel, Britlee was the shepherd and I was a wiseman. Rylee helped with the costumes and did such a great job! Rylee used my flapper outfit for her dress, a sweater vest for the head dress with a headband to hold it in place. Brody wore his indian vest he had made at preschool at thanksgiving, a shirt inside out on his head, a stick for his staff and fire boots. Taylee wore the yellow Princess Bell costume. Britlee wore Santa pajamas with ruffle butts and pillowcase for her head dress complete with headband. I draped Jon's old Star Wars sheet (from when he was a kid) around my body complimented with my brown belt and a pillowcase and headband for my head dress. We were ready. Joseph accompanied Mary on the brown horse head on a stick to the Inn where there was no room. Then to the stable where she had little baby Jesus (the size of my palm) and laid him in the manger (red bean bag topped with a blanket). The angel screamed where baby Jesus was laying in a manger. Britlee the shepherd sat and looked at the tiny baby while the wise woman in Star Wars sheets brought gifts of "frankenstein, myrrh and gold". We had such a great time and Jon got it all on video.

The TREE!
This morning we had our ward breakfast at the church. We were able to attend in our pajamas which the kids LOVED. I made a wonderful breakfast casserole with bacon, sweet potatoes, eggs and onions etc! I think I ate it all? The kids got to see Santa, again. For such a mysterious person, he is right around every corner waiting for you to sit on his lap, tell him what you want and get your picture taken. I know we will probably see him again in the future a couple more times.
