Baseball Ready

Brody asked me to take a picture of him in his Boston Red Sox hat.  He's loving this hat/outfit so much.  He wears the whole get-up to every practice.  He's excited to play baseball and we are excited to watch him!  GOOOOOOOO Brody!

Captain Jon Rudnicki

Today Jon got his first structure fire as a captain.  He was really excited!  He called me to tell me all about it and I could just feel the excitement spewing through the phone.  I am writing this many months later and cannot remember any of the details of the fire except that he handled it like a pro!  Seriously though, would he have handled it any other way? 

Sledding in Tahoe

We tried to go to Adventure Mountain again but it was full!  I guess it's the hot spot!  So we continued to drive into Tahoe and found a playground covered in snow.  We still had a great time and found a downward slope that the kids could sled on!  Love these guys!

Happy Sweet 16 Blake

Today is Blake's 16th birthday and his parents got him a motorcycle!  So fun!  Happy Birthday Blake! Look at my little riders!

 

Happy Valentines Day

I used these pictures for Rylee and Brody's Valentine's cards to their classmates.  I cut a hole in the picture at top of their hand and the bottom of their hand and slid in a Blow Pop sucker and wrote "Happy Valentines Day!" on each one.  They were by far my best valentine's card yet. These kids sure are the sweetest things ever!  I love each one of them!  This year Jon made a picture book of him and I over the years since 1995.  That seems like so long ago sometimes and sometimes it seems like just yesterday.  I love you Lover!  Thank you for such a thoughtful gift!

Happy 5th Birthday Brody!!

Happy Birthday Brody!  We love you so much and we are so glad you had a great time at your Ninjago birthday party!!  "You are my most favoritest son in the whole world!!"  I can't imagine my life without you and your crazy sisters! Thank you for being so obedient, loving, smart, sweet, and strong!  You are definitely my stripling warrior!  

Brody wanted a Ninjago themed birthday.  So with a little research here is what I came up with.  (Thanks for all your help Jon!)  The kids all got personalized headbands with their picture taken at the photo booth with props, decorated ninja stars, used the ninja stars to shoot at floating balloons and everyone was given a sword.  Then Sen Sei Wu appeared to give them Ninja lessons from the Spin Master himself. Jon was such a great sport and dressed up like Sen Sei Wu and put the kids through a little workout.  All the parents seemed to stay and watch which made him a little nervous to perform his master moves for the kids.  Jon did great!  Thank you Johnny for letting us borrow your Gi. The kids were captivated and loved every minute of it!  Then Sen Sei Wu sent them through an obstacle course around the backyard.  Then there was cake and free play time.  It was such an awesome birthday party!!  I couldn't have done it without you JON!!

Daddy Daughter Dance @ CSD

Jon asked Rylee to the Daddy Daughter Dance in a very cute note.  He had written the note and then cut it up into puzzle pieces and she had to put it together to read the note.  She was so excited and said yes! We ordered a corsage and boutonniere for the special occasion.  Unfortunately Rylee has been sick these past couple days and wasn't feeling her best tonight but decided she was up for making an appearance.  She got all dressed up and looked beautiful!  Daddy was very handsome too!  They were matching in yellow and pink.  Jon later told me that he got a compliment at dinner (Mongolian BBQ - one of Rylee's favorite places) from a lady on how beautiful and handsome they looked.  Jon was glad to have this time with her.  The kids don't get a lot of one on one time with us and I know this meant a lot to the both of you.  We love you guys!
