John and Tom came up for a fun 2 days. Tom did a ride along with Jon at Station 41 and the next day they all went snowboarding at Sierra at Tahoe, California!!! Tom had a great time, he got to experience restraining a drug induced combative patient. Tom got put the "Smackdown" on the patient and loved it! He also practiced his EMT skills with assessments and vital sign taking. John hung out with Rylee and I running errands and then John made his award winning spagetti sauce, YUM, YUM! They had a blast at the snow even though Tom smacked his head ending up with a massive headache. Jon and Tom had to take a break in the lodge because they had gotten hammered the night before. John boarding until the cows came home! Mongolian BBQ's the best!!!

Sac Metro Awards
Today Jon and I attended an awards luncheon put on by Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department in honor of the firefighters who have done something special over this past year. Jon got to dress up in his Class A uniform, which he looked so handsome in. To mention a few categories that recieved special recognition and awards went to those who have been in the fire service for 25, 30, and 35 years; employee of the year; volunteer of the year; support employee of the year; and rescue incidents. Jon was recongnized for his participation in the rescue of a man in the Sacramento Area, who had fallen down a deep hole. Jon was the primary paramedic on scene, who cared for the patient after recovery and safely transported the patient to the hospital for further evaluation. Due to their excellence on scene and promptness to the call the man lived. Congratuations Jon!

Family Visit
Yesterday Grandpa & Grandma Rudnicki, Grandpa Little, Aunt Christie and Blake came to visit Jon and Rylee. They all had a blast going to the park and just hanging out here in El Dorado Hills. Domesticated Jon fed everyone for dinner! He's turned into quite the cook, thanks to the Fire House. He made Cream Cheese Chicken with Brown Rice. Here's the recipe if you are interested:
Cream Cheese Chicken
- 6-8 Chicken Breasts frozen or thawed (doesn't matter)
- 1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup (10 3/4 oz size)
- fill 1/2 of the can of Cream of Chicken Soup with milk
- 1 package of dry Italian Salad Dressing Mix
- 1 (8 oz) package of Cream Cheese
**Place all contents into your crockpot and cook it for any amount of time
**Shred the chicken with two forks and poor over rice
Sorry I was at work, but I sure know Jon and Rylee had a great time!

Rylee's Birthday
For Rylee's birthday it was just the three of us. We went to the gym to work out and they made her a birthday crown with a big #1 and glitter all over it! When we got home, I made her the extremely healthy version of a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. We then took her to a large park and went down the slide, over and over again. She had a BLAST! We then came home and gave her a birthday meal full of vegetables!! Then it was cake time, she cried during the candle lighting because she tried to touch the flame and we screamed!! She then dove in to the frosting and proceeded to get it everywhere!!!! She loved the frosting!!! She then opened presents assisted by Jon. It was a great family day!!!

San Diego Fun
On March 8-11th, we traveled down to San Deigo, California for a beautiful wedding. We decided to go a few days earlier to enjoy what San Diego has to offer. The first day we visited the massive San Diego Zoo filled with any animal you could think of, right down to the snakes!! Yikes! The second day the rest of the Little crew met us down there and we basked in the sun on the beautiful beaches. We all got a little color, especially Jessica and Mom. The last day we were there we stopped off quickly at the beautiful LDS Temple, took a couple pics and then headed to the wedding. We attended Wayne Liao and Kiri's wedding which was nestled in a small town called Fallbrook. The ceremony was surrounded by white swans and a heart shaped lake. The bride arrived on a white horse drawn carriage and said, "I do" sealed with a kiss. Afterwards we danced the night away...right Jessica? We then spent that night driving back 7.5 hours to let little Rylee sleep.
